Apparently not everybody agrees he was a kiddie killer, though:
Of course, the bladed glove found in his boiler room and confession in FvJ kinda throws that theory out the window. But yeah, the remake definitely butchered his character. Not even Jackie Earle Haley could save it. |

I voted for Rob Zombie's Halloween because, out of the four, it was the only movie in which I didn't want to get up and throw an object at the TV (not saying much, I still thought it was merely passable). God I hated those other ones, especially Texas Chainsaw Massacre (but, as others here seem to enjoy it, I'll admit that I have several friends that also seem to like it quite a bit)...and Friday the 13th had a pretty solid opening, but the acting for the rest of the movie was horrible, especially the one character who has a sex scene and actually says something like...
[Show spoiler] Who the f**k says that? |

The Friday the 13th remake felt like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake to me, which comes to no surprise since they are both from the same director. I would have voted for the My Bloody Valentine remake. It had more old school feeling than most of the other slasher remakes listed.

I liked the My Bloody Valentine remake more than any of these.
