Fraggle Rock’ getting a reboot is the news we all need right now.

Dance your cares away with this news of a Fraggle Rock reboot. We’re all seeking comfort right now and there’s no better source of it than shows that bring back happy childhood memories like Fraggle Rock. Gobo, Red, Boober, Mokey, Wembley, and Uncle Traveling Matt are all coming back to our TV screens in a reboot of the beloved Jim Henson show thanks to Apple TV.

Sets are currently being built at the studio here in Calgary where they shot Ghostbusters Afterlife. Filming begins in January. Here's a clip from the news today:

Mokey's new design looks bad but otherwise looks good.

Wow! So i sat down to watch the first episode it's like they took the 80's series and dragged it into today, everything is identical to how you remember it. The only change was the human in the lighthouse. Which in this version was a black woman (I know in different regions it was different who played the human, in my UK region it was an old sea dog captain type and I believe the US was a much younger man)

So great for the purists and it's nice to see they keep it so true to the original. This is a total restart, not a sequel of any kind. It'll be interesting to see how my 5 year old nephew will react to this.

All they've done is tied her hair back but she's essentially the same. Everyone personality is exactly the same, no changes to anyone which is refreshing to see

I’ve watched 3 so far and I feel like a kid again. I’m still laughing, songs have been great and it’s entertaining for everyone. Love that they essentially made almost note for note the original series with new tech. (Hint hint nudge nudge Disney+ and The Muppets) Weird but nice not seeing the puppeteer rods on everyone and I WANT A SPROCKET MUPPET. I hope this does well cause I want more to come
