Lady in the water was ridiculously retarded. Yeah I know it was a story he told his children before bedtime and blah blah blah but seriously. It wasn't scary/suspenseful/plot-twisting like he's known for in his other films. That's not to say that every movie he directs has to fit this criteria it was just a really really big let down for a lot of fans hoping for more top-notch movies from m.

70% of Erth is water. The aliens will die when they touch water.

So they think Earth is the best planet to invade. With the raining and all.

Signs was his best. The Village was such a letdown when it was revealed costumes being worn to keep the villagers in line.

Welcome to the Jungle was the movies original name in the preproduction stages.

Another neat lil fact... They were all robbed for all the camera equipment and stuff in the jungle while filming in South America... I heard the Rock talking about it... either on a tv show hyping the movie or maybe its in the DVD extra features. Robbed by real jungle guerillas

I did not even see that story line as being the main one. Moreso, I saw the relationship btwn Bryce Dallas Howard and Jaoquin Phoenix being the principle plot, and the underlying plot being that the elders were deceiving their families about the time period in which they were living. The whole "monster" aspect of it I did not see as that big a part at all, like the aliens in Signs. They were just a vehicle for showing that things happen for a reason and are not coincidence.

they filmed lady in the water at my job. they built some sets indoors and they built the apartments right next door. the apartments were still up a year later and they finally tore them down because bums were living in them.

They initially were filming it in SA until they were robbed. They moved the set to Hawaii after that happened.

I ordered it yesterday and got an email saying it was shipped out. Usually, takes about a week from the UK to Indiana.

I agree. BTW, I thought the kids in Signs did an amazing job, especiallly the little girl.

I really enjoyed Rundown and thought it was very underrated. We hadn't heard anything about it and ended up renting it just b/c it was one of the few movies none of us had seen. We all ended up being pleasantly surprised. I thought it was a great action/comedy type movie.

Anyway, hope they both eventually make it to blu-ray here in the US.
