I absolutely love the original and I even like the 1980s reboot.

I watched Season 1 of this version. I thought a few episodes were very good ( probably about 3 of them), 2 or so were bad and the remaining were decent enough.

Anyone who has seen this second season already... is it any better overall than Season 1? About the same? Hopefully not any worse.

I wasn't too impressed with season 1, but it had its good ones.

I personally would say season 2 was way better. I had to look up the synopses again to remember them now, but the first few episodes were pretty good to very good, IMO, of course. Meet in the Middle, Downtime, and especially Ovation. Good stuff. A couple of stinkers like episode 5 and 6 (one about a girls' boarding school and the other a sea monster - the worst one - aren't very good). But two later ones, A Small Town, and Try, Try especially, are really very good.

Unfortunately, the final episode - SPOILER MAYBE????? - which was probably touted as some great episode, is the worst of the lot:
[Show spoiler]it's a semi-sequel to the original "To Serve Man" and I thought it was horrendous, forced, and offered nothing new.

But as all TZ episodes and fans, opinions on all of this will vary, and someone may have the complete opposite view of these episodes.

All said, even if BD-R, I will get Season 2 as I did find it much better than Season 1. Hope you like it!

What!?

Are CBS not doing a proper version this time?

Given that it hasn't been renewed yet this could be a sign that the show is going to get cancelled and they don't want to waste their money on giving a proper release to a show they're not going to make anymore.

Sad since i thought this season was better than the first.

Does anyone know if this U.S. BD-R release is Region Free or Region A locked?

So I think Amazon just shipped me a bootleg copy. First off, no slipcase. Secondly, it's only 2 discs instead of 5 like S1 was. There's no B&W versions. Third, the discs look weird on the bottom side (one has rings on it like it's not even an official disc) and I think one of them is suffering from disc rot. Going to have to contact Amazon because this is unacceptable. This is not a $40 product.

Season 2 is an official BD-R title. It’s burned discs instead of pressed. 2 discs, pretty bare bones, no slip, just the case, discs and inner art. Bottom of the discs are dark, with clear line showing end of data.

many BD-R releases in the US from legit companies. Paramount has quite a few burned copies. SOMETIMES, different retailers have them pressed, but this isn't the case for Twilight Zone S2.

Here's a link to all the BD-R 25gb releases
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/searc...rtby=relevance

Sony had the "Choice Collection" that were all BD-Rs
Lionsgate is releasing some
Gravitas Ventures is often BD-R but I know I bought some at Dollar Tree that were pressed discs
Paramount has many catalogue titles and some Showtime TV series on BD-R

Still, this had no business being $40. This is a $15 release with a tariff attached to it.

I've been a TZ completist and have collected everything TZ related from 1959 through the 2000 series, but I won't pay the amounts being asked for either of the two Peele seasons. The latest series, like the 2000 UPN show, is not very good anyway. I'm learning not to be a completist when it comes to Blu-ray/4K collecting.

It's not very good, but I still need it as the only thing I'm missing now is the movie.

I feel like doing B&W versions for S1 was quite pointless when they weren't goint to do it to S2.
