I've seen mixed reviews. Some people hated it, others loved it for it's offbeat sense of humour.

I didn’t care to watch it when it first came out due to the terrible redesigns, but my son started watching it on Hulu this year and I thought it was awesome. Lots good humor and references. Some of the humor even caught me off guard with how well it was written.

Why would they put that ugly ass banner on the side like that? I hope it's just some sort of weird j-card design.

The SB looks to have a clear plastic slip, so it's probably just on that.

Yes, It was a great change of pace from the other sonic shows and the writers did a great job at balancing tone despite the more comedic route.

Heres the strange thing, it claims to be a 5 disc set in the Press Release, but on amazon it claims to be 6 discs. Did someone at blu-ray.com confuse the disc count or did amazon?

The series was previously released on BD in two Season sets, with each one being 3 discs, so I imagine it's the same exact discs being included here.

The Steelbook listing says 5 discs. So no it won't be the same. I decided to order the seperate releases instead of waiting for the Steelbook for that reason.

Oh huh. Not much I can do about it now though. The seperate releases have been shipped.

Super random release, but also kind of tempting lol. I’d also like a complete series set in a regular Blu-ray case, but I may get this just to save precious shelf space.

I swear, this is probably my most-bought TV show of all time. First it was the compilation DVDs because “they’ll probably never release season sets”. Then it was the split season releases because “they’ll probably never release the show in a full season set or a Blu-ray”. And then it was the Blu-rays of season 1 and season 2 because “they’ll probably never release a complete series Blu-ray”… and… here we are lol.

It’s tough because you want to support the stuff you like on physical media, but then they do stuff like this. But if you don’t support it in the beginning then all they see is “well no one’s interested in physical media anymore!”.

I’ll probably get this, I’m a total sucker for steelbooks, plus it’s one less case for my self. This would make the third time I’ve bought the series.

I’ve only ever done this with a show one other time: Bobobo Bo Bo-BoBo. I still have all 3 releases of it. But that’s besides the point. NCircle really are milking this aren’t they?

Hi can anyone tell me if the 2 previous releases of Sonic Boom had the ‘Comparison animatic Vs Final Animation’ featurette as advertised on the back of the upcoming steelbook release?

Now to down to $39.99 instead of the $59.99 listing price.
Release isn't until March.

Nope.

The only features I saw were on each season’s third disc, and it was just trailers for Sonic-related stuff and concept art.
