Zappiti Pro vs Panasonic UB820 - Blu-ray Forum

I've been using a Panasonic UB820 with my JVC projector now for almost 2 years and I love the picture quality. I mainly play discs or stream 4K discs from my server with the player. What I absolutely HATE about the player is it's lack of streaming apps (although I stream from Plex, a Plex app would be a welcome addition).

I'm considering possibly moving to a Zappiti Pro for the front end UI but am concerned the picture quality won't be as good as the Panny. Has anyone here compared (or moved from) a Panasonic UB820 to a Zappiti? If so, were you happy with the switch?

The Zappiti Neo, Reference and Signature are the new kids and based on the Realtek RTD1619, AVS thread here. Some like the Zidoo Z9X media player, AVS thread here.

I just got the Z9X but have not spent anytime with it yet.
