sony x800 resume feature issues not sure player or flash drive need help

so long story short back on the 6th I was watching smallville bluray disc<-yes I know that new disc doesn't resume at all

this was around 4 pm then all of a sudden power went on and off didn't come back on until 6 pm

keep in mind I got bluray player plug up surge protector behind entertainment center

I didn't think about it that tues/weds morning I was watching superman the movie 4k and I remember that if you play and stop it go to bluray menu it go back to movie it will resume well when I did that didn't happen

I try many other movies like jungle book bluray star wars a new hope 4k etc etc watch a little bit then stop it go back to menu resume feature comes up but all of a sudden not

so I thought I erase my old Lexar flash drive however that wasn't the case because there was nothing in video budda folder at all

I unplug and replug bluray player watch orient express 4k stop it works then resume I go back to it weds night but no resume


I decided on thurs a 2 pack Lexar flash drive office max I put 1 in player<-apparently new ones didn't have a light up red indicator in it

i then did unthinkable factory reset player then i put my old flash drive back in play jungle book resume works again

that Friday i took back 2 pack office max got refund 12.99 back

now i know that sometimes bluray player in past turns off due to i have volume on 70 onkyo receiver that is normal

it happen few times past week while watching a dvd umm this afternoon my dad shut off the power and turn it back on

i was watching looper 4k stop it went back no resume feature was working

however resume feature bluray player was still working sat when i watch la la la land 4k stop it went back to movie it resumes

i'm very confused by what is going on why i just had to a 2nd factory reset on player i don't know if its flash drive problem i should had kept 2 pack

it's something to do with resume feature within bluray player all of a sudden since last sun or what

i really don't want to all of a sudden every once in awhile factory reset bluray player in order get resume feature back up i wished i knew which one to factory reset instead everything all at all

can anybody please help and tell me what is issue is

i don't know if laser resume feature back got jacked up or what i'm going to keep an eye next few days see if player resume back how long it will last a week 2 weeks or what

i hope i don't have to get fixed somewhere in town

well if nobody in town can't fixed it and I don't think I can return sony since out of warranty and if resume feature inside bluray player is jacked up

I will have to get a new 4k bluray player I don't want to go down to a 700 should I stick with same 4k bluray player get another x800 or go to next one x800m2?

I don't want to get a Samsung 4k player I like to stick with sony still

not sure about lg or a Panasonic

I guess I need to save money don't buy any 4k's for awhile if I do have to get a new 4k bluray player

remember that I don't even have a dolby vision tv only a lg 4k tv btw
