There's many names for it, but I'm curious Does anyone have experience with this? If so please share as I cant find anyone who's gone through this. I was just diagnosed with a Tumor on the left side of my brain.. Just hoping for some insight...
Its benign which is great news so no cancer. But this is obviously a life changing surgery.... and I'm not sure how I'm handling it as I just found out after having an MRI. Meeting with the surgeon on Wednesday to see what the next step is. Family and wife is taking it harder then I am. I mean obviously I'm scared but not much I can do now On another note, I've been a member here for over 7 years now, and have a lot of friends on this site, and I appreciate everyone here and all the many interactions I've had since I joined. Looking forward to many more years ![]() Thanks in advance for any feedback! |

Bro!! You will get through this. Bright side is that it's usually non-malignant and can be resolved within a couple of months. Cuck Fancer!

Expect the neuro surgeon to have a God Complex.
That is to be expected though...the last person you want to ever have any self doubt is the guy(or woman) cutting your skull open and poking around in there. Last edited by schan1269; 10-17-2015 at 09:09 PM. |

Very sorry to hear that you're dealing with this. I'm sending my best wishes to you and your family.
I've dealt with some brain and neuro issues personally, but not a tumor. Other than the tumor, of course, if you're in decent health and have good blood flow, that will absolutely help with the surgery. I had an aunt that had some brain surgery, and that's one of the things they told her: good blood flow makes the surgery and healing process go much easier. Otherwise, they might have to treat that before they'd undertake the surgery. The good news, of course, is that your tumor is benign. I can only imagine how scary it must be, but I have faith that you'll be alright. Please keep us updated. |

I'm really sorry to hear of this, but I know you'll make it through no problem. A very close friend of mine went through surgery to remove a walnut-sized tumor on his brain. He was terrified, but needn't have been as his surgery was successful and he's still enjoying life some 20 years later.
Which of the 2 have you been diagnosed with? |

Just keep a positive attitude and I'm sure all we be good for ya brother. As long as it's benign then that is good news. I know brain surgery can be a scary prospect but just trust in the surgeons and the doctors and you will be fine

I am so sorry to hear about this! Man, the heart strings are getting a work out this morning.
I don't know much about the benign tumors, but just remember to stay positive and keep all those good vibes around you. One of my students actually was out last term for cancer on his brain stem and after multiple procedures he is back and doing rather ridiculously well. I had asked him last week how he was and he said he was doing great and that part of the speedy recovery was all the support and love he received from everyone. So, I am sure I speak for a lot of us when I say that we are sending you all our love and support for a quick recovery. ![]() |
