I'd love to have this one in 4K. Universal was going through their "slap an outdated master on the BD and kill it with edge enhance and DNR" phase.

I wonder if Universal would lend it out to Criterion or Shout Factory.

On a side note, John Barry's score should've won an Oscar for it. His parents died before he wrote it, leaving him depressed and saddened. He transferred his grief into the score. It's one of those soundtracks that gives you all the feels.

same here. If you watched this and you didnt fall in love with jane seymour you're dead.

John barry's score its one of my favorites alongside robin and marian, another great candidate for 4k

I remember hearing about this movie when I visited Mackinac Island where the movie was filmed but I've never seen it. I'd be interested in checking it out on UHD though. Maybe Universal would release it on the 50th anniversary?

This is probably my all time favourite movie so I would love to see this as well!

I had hopes that we would have seen 40th anniversary release but that did not happen. The cinematographer Mankofsky also died a few years ago so maybe he did not have a chance to give input for the new release.
