"TNT has given a straight-to-series order to Ridley Scott’s (The Martian, Blade Runner) Raised By Wolves, a serialized sci-fi series, with Scott set to direct in his TV helming debut, from Scott’s Scott Free Productions, Turner’s Studio T and Madhouse Entertainment. Aaron Guzikowski, the visionary behind the acclaimed film Prisoners, will serve as showrunner as well as a writer.

Raised by Wolves centers upon two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task.

Scott, Guzikowski, David W. Zucker (The Man in the High Castle) and Jordan Sheehan (The Terror), and Madhouse Entertainment’s Adam Kolbrenner (Prisoners) and Robyn Meisinger (Prisoners) serve as executive producers. Scott Free produces in association with Turner’s Studio T and Madhouse Entertainment. Turner International will distribute the series internationally." SOURCE

As the Alien prequels suggest, Scott has been increasingly interested in artificial intelligence. This show will allow him to delve deeper into the subject now that a follow-up to Covenant seems unlikely.

‘Vikings’ Star Travis Fimmel Joins Ridley Scott’s Android Series

Originally saw Fimmel in The Beast and then his time in Vikings where he seemed to do the exact same mannerism and facial expressions in both shows. Of course I'll keep an eye on this to see if he still does it here.

Producer Jon Kuyper confirms that Ridley Scott directed just two episodes. His son Luke directed two others. He didn't say anything about who's gonna helm the rest.

On a completely different tack, Kuyper is currently producing his first TV series, Scott’s 10-part Raised By Wolves, about androids raising human children on a mysterious planet. “For the scheduling we had ten hours that we broke up into five blocks,” Kuyper explained. “Ridley Scott directed the first two episodes, the second block was his son Luke Scott – it was almost like doing a feature film every five weeks.

“I would be prepping with the next director while the current director was shooting, which was very different for me as a producer because I’m used to working with one director and being with that director in all phases of production – pre-production and planning; during the shoot, solving problems on set and giving encouragement, and then in early post I usually hand it over. Now I was dealing with one director who was shooting, one prepping and another director giving notes on the script.”

First I'm reading about this show. When I clicked on it, I thought it was actually a show about wolves raising a boy, not an Android one. That peeked my interest enough to click on this thread, this I'll have to wait and see how the trailer grabs me.

Raised by Wolves is the new "it" title I guess. In addition to this, there's a remake of the UK show set for ABC and CBS is developing a comedy with
Julie Bowen.

I still think HBO Max needs to drop the HBO part and call it WB Max because there's more than just HBO...
