they've done their page slightly wrong. the lower priced of the two is actually the DVD - given away by the product code ending in D rather than B.

i will be waiting a year or two for the price to drop, anyway.

Nice to see someone other than Panorama doing an older film. Feels like it's been a while since another label did that.

Probably director Ringo Lam's second best film from the 90's after "Full Contact." Here's the german trailer for the film:

Wow. This is one of my “Holy Grails”, I never thought this would get a Blu. This is one of the best releases of 2018 for me.

It’s excellent, actually. One of my top HK films. The action is great, and the car chase might be he best ever put on film. Not to mention it has great direction by Ringo Lam, tons of great location shooting in HK, and great performances with a deep theme to it.

I'm just waiting for someone to confirm it's proper HD (which it should be coming from a Mei Ah source) and that the subs are decent.

Received mine some time ago. Very good picture quality compared to different DVDs. That is a proper HD scan.
Also got RICH AND FAMOUS and BLACK VENGEANCE from Vicol Entertainment, also very fine releases.

Disc is great. True HD picture and decent Audio. There's also a Ringo Lam commentary track on the disc which is a real surprise given that Hong Kong labels rarely include extra features. No English subtitles for the commentary unfortunately for those who aren't fluent in Cantonese.

Decent audio, as in the track being faithful to the original Dolby 5.1 track (no added foley effects in the track)?

No added foley effects. You'll find that most late 90's HK films generally don't have these problems when released on DVD/Blu Ray especially when they were already released theatrically with Dolby Digital soundtracks.
