Default Tentacles / Reptilicus (1961-1977)

NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENTS**

Since our announcement earlier this week of our double-bill of FOOD OF THE GODS & FROGS went over so well with the majority, we thought it would be exciting/surprising if we followed it up and revealed FOUR more “Animal-Creature attack” films coming sometime next Summer for the first time on the blu-ray format! So without further ado…

- Bert I Gordon’s EMPIRE OF THE ANTS (with “Dynasty’s” Joan Collins battling radioactive insects) will be paired with 1982’s devil-possessed cobra film JAWS OF SATAN (with Fritz Weaver as a priest and a young Christina Applegate) as a double feature.

- The Italian-made prehistoric campy octopus flick TENTACLES (starring John Huston and Shelly Winters) will share ocean space with another prehistoric campy water creature – the Danish-made REPTILICUS - on a double feature as well.

We still have more films to announce this month so be sure to check back here on our page this month to be the first to see them!

That would be better, but Shout wants you to get all of them to get the pairs you want

I get it, pair a "want" with something not so wanted and everything gets sold. I would never buy Jaws of Satan or frogs but know I'll have too.

Three of the titles are very popular cult/B-movie faves. Jaws of Satan is not one of them. I've heard of Jaws of Satan, but I've never watched it. It was on cable a few years back, but it wasn't on my radar.

Tentacles & Empire of the Ants are pretty entertaining, in that bad sci-fi/horror movie way.

Reptilicus is actually kinda ok, but it's ruined by AWFUL special effects.

It seems like we could also get Konga , Yongary , The Brain That Wouldn't Die, and maybe a few more midnite movies at the rate we are going

I wish they could somehow get the original cut of Reptilicus as I would love to see that creature flying.

Well, that just tells us you're not up on classic B-movie fare. Announcing that you haven't heard of a movie doesn't engender much confidence in your views on this kind of film.

I'm particularly looking forward to REPTILICUS which I have on DVD. As I recall, the DVD isn't even anamorphic. It's one of the last titles I would have expected to see on BD. You don't see a lot Danish monster movies so it will be nice to revist this. Must be 10 years since I've seen it.

Yes! Man From Planet X is classic.

Maybe The Satan Bug, The Power, Village of the Damned, The Green Slime and a nicer print of Gorgo (VCI's looks good, but I'm sure it can look better)???

Then again, I've always had issues, with Italian horror movie scores.

The Green Slime is with Warner though.. Village of the Damned is with Warner(the original one) and Universal (the remake)

Didn't Scorpion just release the Power ?? I think it was DVD only though.

Id really get into the Brain That Wouldn't Die especially if they would include that extra *T&A* footage that was an extra on the 4 Movies DVD ..

I will admit to my lack of knowledge for older B-movies prior to say 1984 or so, mainly due to my age. I will say that even though I'm not trilled with the announcements, I may still give them a chance.
