Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving Decorations

Now that we are in the month of September, when will you begin to break out & put up/hang your fall decorations? I normally don't until around September 18th - 20th (I also head to a local farm every year and buy a few pumpkins as well at this time of the year) But, the weather feels like fall where I live and is suppose to remain this way, so I am getting that itch.

With the weather cooler right now, it seems about the right time. I start thinking about it after the 4th of July. I saw Halloween stuff at Hy-Vee 2 weeks ago.

We are always late to bring out Fall/Halloween decor, but I want to get a jump on it this year. I'd love to go all out and buy so much more, but I have to ne cautious about that. Also in general, all the holiday stuff is in crawl space, which is just a burden to deal with. I really wish it was a standard that houses have a "Holiday room", which would be like the size of a small bedroom, on the first floor, although like hidden - sort of like a large pantry. Easy in/out access for all the holiday needs.

Maybe someday I'll build my own house...

The supermarkets here will probably start having pumpkins in in a few weeks time. I made a Jack O'Lantern last year (the second time I'd made one). I prefer seeing other peoples' Hallowe'en decorations, but there is something satisfying and comforting seeing a Jack O'Lantern you've made with a candle inside lighting it up.
