Default Oldest movie in your collection?

Which is the oldest released movie in your collection?

I have The Ten Commandments released in 1956.

Don't limit your response to Blu-rays only!

Georges Melies' A TRIP TO THE MOON (1902) on its own Blu-ray (with a feature-length documentary on its restoration as a bonus), and ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1903) included as a bonus short on the ALICE (1988) Blu-ray.

For feature-length movies on Blu-ray, there's the rather disjointed half-hour abridgment of INSIDE THE WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC (1913). For complete feature-length movies there's THE BIRTH OF A NATION, CHILDREN OF EVE, and LES VAMPIRES (all from 1915). INSIDE THE WHITE SLAVE TRAFFIC and CHILDREN OF EVE are included on the disc of THE DEVIL'S NEEDLE (1916), a very interesting exploitation melodrama that's well-worth seeing!

P.S. -- if you've got the deluxe collectors' edition of THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, it includes a Blu-ray with a very nice transfer of the fun 1923 version of the film.

Hoping some of the early Chaplin makes it to Blu-ray this year for the centennial of his first films!

The oldest film in my collection is on DVD rather than blu-ray. It's in the collection Landmarks of Early Film from Image Entertainment. There's one entitled "Series Photography: An Homage to Eadward Muybridge" which is a more recent edit of early strips from 1877-1885. After that, it includes about 8 Edison Kinetoscopes ranging from 1894-1897 and several Lumière Films from the same period. http://www.amazon.com/Landmarks-Earl...+of+early+film

On blu-ray, I'm not 100% sure, but it is probably Kino's release of Birth of a Nation from 1915.

EDIT: Three years later and now my earliest blu-ray is undoubtedly A Trip to the Moon from 1902.

DVDs, VHS, Laser Disc etc could be part of your collection. Don't limit your response to only Blu-Ray. Mine is actually a DVD

I think I have Cabinet of Dr Caligari (1920) on DVD, followed by Nosferatu (1922), Sunrise (on BD - 1927), The General (1927), and Svengali (1931)
