Umm. Difficult one. Speed is probably the better all-round movie, but Point Break has quite a few scenes of pure awesomeness that outdo anything in Speed, and I find it even more fun to watch. So on balance I'm going for Point Break.

Point Break hits all the right action beats, features some innovative cinematography, has excellent characters with actual personalities and a fast and funny script (ghost)written by James Cameron.
Speed looks nice but just kind of sits there repeating itself over and over. Oh, and it was written by Graham Yost. No contest whatsoever |

I'd love to vote, but Netflix still hasn't let me watch Point Break.
[Show spoiler] I posted this on November 2nd, at which time I had already had the Blu-ray at the top of queue for two to three months. It's still at the top of my queue. ![]() |
