With production on Indiana Jones 5 hitting the home stretch, James Mangold is getting his future dance card in order and has his attention directed towards a film centered around one of Hollywood’s most iconic talents. Sources tell Deadline, Mangold and 20th Century Studios are in development on a project about the life of filmmaker and comedian Buster Keaton, with Mangold set to direct and produce. The film is based on the book Buster Keaton: Cut to the Chase by Marion Meade and execs have made this a top priority as they meet with writers to adapt the book. source

I agree, Mangold is definitely the right choice for this! Ford v Ferrari was incredible and all around a great film and I think he has a proven solid track record to deliver something spectacular.

Just read a book about this. This is going to be the same, tired formula of biopics: I'm poor, then I'm rich, but I have a drug or drinking problem and I'm at risk of losing it all, but wait.... There's a woman to save my poor, tortured artist's soul. At the end of it all, I've found some peace within myself, come what may.

If your so disappointed with Hollywood then how about look elsewhere? Maybe turn your attention to foreign films instead and stop griping. You're pretty much reiterating the same tired sentiment as everyone else that can be said across all other genres as well; Horror, Romcoms, Drama, Comic Book movies...
