Recurring dreams

Do you guys ever have recurring dreams of a place you have never been to before?

For the past 8-10 years I've had dreams in the same settings: either school or my first job. I don't know if those are considered recurring since the dreams are always different; the setting is just the same.

I often dream of an alternative version of a town I know. In those dreams I try to get home with the train and bus before it gets dark but I never make it. I usually take the wrong train and end up on the wrong bus stuck in some way off small village without a proper bus connection. I always wake up feeling frustrated.

Sort of. I often have dreams involving water and/or a beach (not a specific beach). Many involve being in a car that drowns while I am in it or it falls into the water over a cliff or bridge.

It's been a while since the last time it happened, but I've had variations of showing up to the final exam of a college course after missing class for the whole semester.

I use to have a dream about Jaws trying to get me. No matter what type of body of water, in the dream Jaws was in it waiting for me to get in.

I also once in a while would dream I was in a very dark room and then Michael Myers and his white mask would apppear, a freaky dream!

I also have had a number of dreams where I needed to take one more class to graduate from college. But, something would always prevent me from getting to class and I would never graduate. Very frustrating dream.

I used to have a lot of dreams/nightmares of natural disasters: tornadoes and giant tidal waves specifically - they were ultravivid and scary.

Many of my dreams take place at my childhood home, or a strange variation of my childhood home. I don't remember dreams taking place in my current house.

Of a place I've never been to? I wish!

Most of my recurring dreams take place at school (yikes) or a mall (not bad, but usually anxiety-inducing).

I've had dreams take place at all sorts of locations, from ones I've actually been to (or that are very similar but just slightly off) to ones that literally only exist in my dreams.

A frequent location is this particular shopping mall that is sort of a combination of various malls I went to frequently growing up. This mall has popped up in dreams a number of times over the years, and it's been fascinating to me. Some stores are always the same, others change; some times I'm in one area, other times I'm in another. A couple times I've even encountered the same shoppers, who will remark that it's been a long time since they last saw me, because it may have been a year or so since my last dream with them.

Yes, I've had these dreams too. I'm in a car and suddenly there's a hole on the bridge and I fall through. It's so terrifying.

I have frequent dreams about being in a strange city and getting more and more lost. That, and "I'm back in school...!" are recurring ones.

I have a lot of them that involve my grandparents still being alive and seeing how the land they lived on had changed since I had last visited many years ago
