I don't have a full list but this is another of the big square slipbox with book editions : ![]() I own a few of the digipack + book editions and these are also good, lots of great pictures and the text is great but sometimes the font is a bit big. Some of the other titles in this collection : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They also have a digibook lineup : ![]() ![]() ![]() |

For these, I admit that I don't care about forced subs, as I'm considering them mostly for the extensive books. I don't think there is anything I'm looking at where I don't already have a good release from Criterion, MoC, BFI, etc.
Going through everything listed here and their site, this is what I see for items that might be contenders for having nice big supplemental books. (I'm generally looking at older/classic titles... I'll set the cutoff at 1980 for the most part.) Big square format: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Other large ones: ![]() ![]() Digibooks with consistent trade dress: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Other possible limited/deluxe editions: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A whole Akira Kurosawa line that looks interesting except for 7S being different...: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is there anything I missed or shouldn't have included? From what I can see, this big editions (the first two sections) have lavish photo books. I think the middle group does too, although smaller, but it's not as clear to me. And the other digibooks and AK line are a mystery. Does anyone have some of those and can comment on the books? Last edited by TheHistorian; 02-22-2022 at 10:18 PM. Reason: clarity |

Not researched every title yet but Where the Sidewalk Ends has some interesting sounding extras which I assume might be English friendly, at least the Bogdanovich. The Tierney documentary apparently features Scorsese, Joseph McBride, Molly Haskell and Cari Beauchamp.
Otto Preminger, cinéaste par Peter Bogdanovich (30’) Gene Tierney, une star oubliée : portrait de lactrice Their release of Gun Crazy features 40 minutes of interviews with Peggy Cummins and Russ Tamblyn which aren’t on the Warner Archive release. The Indian Fighter features a half hour interview with Anthony Slide, which I assume is in English. The late screenwriter Christopher Knopf provides a half hour interview on Emperor of the North. Thief includes a 24 minute interview with James Caan. Rolling Thunder has a 28 minute interview with Lawrence Gordon. Night and the City features a 46 minute interview with Glenn Erickson.
