Shout! Factory will be releasing Ron Howard's Far and Away (1992) on 4K UHD in December! The 4K will feature Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos, and extras will include a new feature-length retrospective documentary.

I only vaguely remember seeing it in theaters, but somebody in the BD thread for the film said the 70mm prints in 1992 were struck incorrectly, so they didn't look as good as they could have.

Excited to see this, hope they went back to the 70mm OCN.

Not happening, unfortunately. Shout wanted to do it, and Ron said no. I don’t know if the scenes will be included in a separate section, though.

I used to just tear through my VHS copy of this! So stoked!!

Can also confirm that Universal / Imagine is doing the transfer (Shout is not handling it in-house). There will also be an Atmos mix and some new interviews according to my sources.

Can't recall much about this movie but it was still during a fun Cruise era before tons of MI sequels and his second divorce back when he was still kind of viewed as a sane individual.
