Thumbs up Best James Bond?

I just seen the Quantum of Solace trailer and it looks pretty sweet. It's gonna be tought to be better than Casino Royale. Also Daniel Craig is a good Bond, But not the best IMO. mine is a tie between Brosnan and Connery.

Gotta go with the original, Sean Connery.

I like Danile Craig too, but I prefer the class and wit that Connery had

For me, It is Brosnan or Connery. Personally, I don't like Craig as Bond, I would have prefer Clive Owen.

For me, Sean Connery will always be the best as long as you forget about Never Say Never Again. Second is Daniel Craig, followed closely by Pierce Brosnan.

+1

we might be the only ones, there's such disdain for Moore. He might of been a bit campy at times but his movies were the most fun to watch.

I didn't say he was the worst, I just don't like him as Bond. Craig was awesome Layer Cake though.

I'm going to have to go with Brosnan. I think it kind of depends on who you grew up with as Bond. While I think Craig is great, I remember growing up seeing Brosnan as Bond during the 90's and loved all his movies.

I think Connery is a good, but I wonder if he could have done all the stunts that are now required of todays Bond actors.

As for Lazenby, On Her Majesty's Secret Service might have been the worst movie I have ever seen. I can't even get through watching the entire 142 mintues of the movie (and I have tried several times) because of the plot and acting. I think this might have been Lazenby's first acting job on screen, and it should have been his last.

Connery placed third in the 1953 Mr. Universe bodybuilding contest, and as a direct result he landed his stage and movie career. There should be no doubt about his stunt abilities, (check the train fight scene in "From Russia with Love") and beyond that, he is still the mold for all of the Bond's and is still the coolest of all of them.
By the way "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" was the most accurate of all the Bond movies in reference to the books, it was the truest to the source material and over the years a major fave with hardcore Bondophiles. Second truest was of course "From Russia with Love".
Personally, the most iconic of all Bond movies is "Goldfinger", this is the one that ensconced all Bond movies in movie popularity history (it is second only to "Thunderball" in attendance popularity out of all the 007 movies and is the one that went over the top attendance wise. TB & GF were the LOTR of their time)

Brosnan was very good but was hurt by the poor scripts that made Bond out to be a comic book super hero. Flemings books were far superior to the vast majority of the movies and it's great that the producers are trying to get back to feel of the source material, but I feel they still have a long way to go.

I will agree with you that Lazenby was absolutely horrible as James Bond. I wish Connery would have done that movie because it would have made it so much better. As a matter of fact, Lazenby was given a 7 movie Bond deal but his agent told him not to sign it, saying that "Bond will be outdated by the 70's". Thank God for that agent, otherwise we would not have had Moore and Timothy Dalton would have done more than 2 films considering they wanted him before they got Moore.

In order

Connery (By a mile)
Moore
Dalton
Lazenby
Craig
Brosnan
Niven only did Satires of Bond
Nelson didn't play Bond on film, just T.V. and I can't say that I've seen his performance

You mean someone other than Connery played Bond?

I really like the Bond movies. Have all the books, a few on VHS, then even more on DVD and I'll buy all of them on Blu-ray when they are released.

There are certain questions that only have 1 real anwer. For example if I were to ask who your favorite character on Seinfeld was, if you answer other than George you probably weren't that much of a fan. The same is true for Bond, it has to be Connery.

nooooo!!

Bond was a cockney english brit...Ian Flemming even stated as much in the early books...

the movie people turned Bond into some suave guy to sell more...it never should have been Connery.
