Default Hatchet Complete Collection Blu-ray DarkSky

Did anyone see this? Came across my FB this morning. Quite cool that they are getting all of these movies in one collection and while they were cheesy low budget horror, they have been fun.

I am missing two of the movies on blu-ray, so this would be a godsend having this set. Now the price does suck and honestly, I don't care for Steelbooks anymore like I did when they first came out. Hoping we get more info on this set soon as I'd like to order it.

I'm happy to see a complete collection release for the Hatchet franchise as I really enjoyed most all of these films. Victor Crowley was a disappointment if I'm being honest, but I do wish that we could have gotten more entries in the series.

he wants to do another one but from what I understand he has been jerked around by distribution on the previous films... the book in Victor Crowley called "I Survivor" is actually a real book and supposedly it leads into part 5, I have it but haven't read it yet

Interesting! I hadn't heard that and given the number of years that have passed since Victor Crowley, I assumed that the franchise was effectively dead as far as additional films were concerned. Hopefully things can be worked out and another Hatchet Film is still in the cards then.

I've bumped into him a couple of times and we spoke about it, he told me probably more than he should have but I won't say any more than that because as of now it's just talking lol... he's starting to get out and do conventions now, if you're into those you should go and meet him... he's really cool and I think the more he talks to fans it might light that fire... he's at a show this weekend and I think Kane is doing his first ever photo op as Victor so hopefully that goes well for both of them

I'd be down for another film as long as they keep it serious and not jokey like Part 2. I've never revisited the second film and have no desire to but have really enjoyed the others. This series is just as much fun as the Wrong Turn films so I'm surprised to hear there were distribution issues. Both are rare modern horror franchises that are actually good for the most part.

all of them are full of comedy, why did part 2 stand out for you?... from what I understand there weren't necessarily distribution issues but rather distributors covering up the profits so they don't have to pay certain people

There's no info on their page what extras if any come on the individual discs for each film. Originally each blu-ray came with it's own pack of extras and commentaries. Are all those extras missing here since they're not listed or will they be included? That's pretty important to know.

And are these the uncut version of the films? The page doesn't say.

I'd assume it's just recycled discs but it would be nice if they listed everything in case someone doesn't already own them, they should also include pics of the back and inner artwork to the steelbook... not a very good marketing job on their part imo

Yeah, imo it's awful marketing. Practically no info whatsoever. I'm not going to buy a set like that with no idea what the content actually is. I'd like to hear more about it.

Doesn't seem like it can ship to Canada. Tried doing the checkout process just to see what the grand total would be, and it's telling me it can't be shipped to my selected address.

I got mine today, I never owned these but have seen them all. I'm too lazy to post pics at the moment, it's hot af here and annoyed, but I will say I'm annoyed how they stacked the discs inside. It's just 3 discs stacked on top of each other one one side and 2 on the other so of course 2 of them had slight circular scratches on the bottom. I cut out some peices of tissue paper to put between them (which is kinda why I don't wanna pull them all back out now for pics lol). Without having seen what the previous discs look like, they looked awesome, like cool art on them and such and I recall seeing Unrated listed on the discs.

Here is a photo of the j card since I had it sitting by me still https://imgur.com/a/3SKnNa6

That looks like all the films don't have the extras the individuals had. But all seem to be unrated.

check and see if the extras are there, I know 1 and 4 had like an hour+ behind the scenes documentaries that were very good and if they left those out is a huge fail on their end... all the old discs were not rated or unrated with the same runtimes so nothing new there
