Default Google Stadia Game Streaming Service

So Google has been busy.

Rumoured specs of system to be more powerful than Xbox One X.
Backers from Ubisoft & Sega May have console exclusives.
Possibly 2 sku’s. (Digital & Physical media)

They plan to show more at GDC.

Here is a link to recent news that shows a “fake” image of the Controller re-imagined by the patent.

https://www.shacknews.com/article/11...efore-gdc-2019

Guy doesn’t seem happy with design judging by his Controller bias. That said, I myself don’t think the handles look comfortable but who knows. The Wii U gamepad definitely didn’t & you have that in your hands for hours easy.

I know Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have been making video game consoles over the years, but Google? Come on!

Sure, Microsoft was a new-comer at 1 point and the youngest of the 3 in your list. I'd be more worried that it's another project of googles that they don't fully push. Like their thousands of messaging/chat platforms to name one example.

Some of the play store games are pretty indepth and if you could seamlessly continue on your phone from console and vice versa like Sony tried with vita and they price it right, could be interesting

Expect Apple to counter with a AirPlay 3 announcement in the future. Or maybe they can even do it over the current system?

I've stopped caring about modern gaming but I've found this interesting but in the end does there need to have another home console on the market really? I suppose you could count the switch more of a hand held but seriously we don't need to have another one even if google has all the money in the world.

So Stadia, the future of gaming or the google plus of gaming? I think it has the potential to kill the ps5/next xbox

Google will kill it in a year just like everything else they make.

The specs and what is being said does not seem feasible. At least how I understand everything. I should clarify, that this will work for some people, but not all.

All Streaming
4k
60FPS
...

The more I read about this it seems like someone who is way over promising and really just wanted a piece of the pie after they heard that steam charges developers 30% (something like that) on their games.

What are you going to play on it though? Google has absolutely zero game IP identity. Right now to me it just looks like a streaming PC. What will it offer me to play that I cant already play on PS4 (and PS5 in the future)?

From the few articles I read, it appears they hope to have the same library as Sony and Microsoft, etc. They want to make a cheaper machine, expense wise, so it can be enjoyed by a larger audience.

As i understand, you are correct that it will not have anything the other consoles or PC don't offer game wise.

I have a feeling that this is going to be a HUGE flop.

I hope I’m wrong though.

Yes, that’s literally the point of the service. you and I might want to play the console exclusives, but the casuals who bought a console to play fortnite will now stream it on their non gaming device, and that’s a huge loss for the other consoles next gen

Why do people keep saying streaming PC? If I’m reading correctly you don’t actually buy a system. These specs are the per user server instance specs that will run the game that’s streamed to your browser, mobile or stick.
