Instead of a toy, Chick-fil-A is including a free G or PG VUDU movie rental in their kids meals right now. While testing what it would/would not work on, it took the entire $8 off the UHD rental fee of Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse. Worth looking into.

LOL, yeah, I was a little surprised by that too. It's a good movie, but I try to buy 4ks around $10 or digital around $5. Spiderverse 4k is regularly $20+ and the digital is regularly $10+. So they think $8 to rent it is a "deal".
Spiderverse is the most expensive G/PG rental I could find. Rental charges also escalated with resolution (SD>HD>UHD). I haven't rented anything digitally, so that caught me by surprise. But I can wait till either price drops. I'd like to own the disc, but digital is more convenient. The fine print on the code said it would work on a rental, OR take off a certain amount on a purchase, but after testing it, it didn't take anything off digital purchases, but still zeroed out digital rentals. But a free movie night is a free movie night, especially for a kid. We couldn't find Paddington 2 on any streaming services, so we'll use the free code on that. The first one was ok, but I definitely don't need to own that. A free rental will be fine. |
