Default Blu-ray with surround - 5.1 or 7.1?

Hi

I was just wondering is it better to go for a surroundsound that is 7.1 or 5.1? I will be using it with my PS3 and 40" 1080p Sansung tv.
Here is the link: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Elec....html?dpr=2560
Is this any good? and will it work well with Bluray?

Depending on your budget, stay away from HTIB if possible. You will tire of it soon, and the money spent will be wasted.
Do you have any spealers or a receiver now?

I have not tired of my Onkyo SP 908 system. I believe it's a great starter system
and it can be upgraded later on since it uses the 605 receiver. I think they are selling on vanns.com for less than 800 dollars.

Do you have any budget in mind? That will help people here recommend speakers, receivers, and subwoofers. I just upgraded to 7.1 and it is great. If you get a receiver which properly matrixes in the extra speakers on 5.1 material, you will be spoiled.

A really good starter system is:
Sony STR-DG 810 (6.1) or STR-DG 910 (7.1) receivers. Both have 3 HDMI inputs and full HDMI audio/video switching. Thre both decode most of the latest audio formats. prices start about $325 online.
Boston Acoustics Horizon MCS100 or MCS130 (larger LCR speakers) 5.1 speaker system. A good center speaker, 4 surrounds and a 10" subwoofer complete with cable. Prices start about $350 (Amazon.com).
I installed a Sony 810/MCS100 system for my daughter, and she is completely satisfied with it.
Good luck!
