The killings that kick things off are still among the most chilling images I've ever seen in any film.

90s Paxton was litty.

Good to see this finally coming to blu. Not sure i'll upgrade from the ancient Tri Star DVD though. It's serviceable for me.

For those who like crime/drama thrillers, this is an underrated gem.

Also, first time I heard about the film was when the UK release censored the poster art.

Genuinely curious: You seem happy that this is finally hitting Blu, you call it an underrated gem, but you still might stick with an "ancient" DVD? Why??

And why even be a member of a Blu Ray forum if you don't want to pick up what should be an easy and obvious (and likely affordable) upgrade? Real head-scratcher, there.

Good question. I spend quite a bit (a ton) on new releases(blu and 4k) and while i'm always looking to upgrade my old DVD's, it's lower priority for certain titles and genres. 80's crime drama's being one of them. Simple economics.

What does genre have to do with how much you like a film? You either love it or not, regardless of genre. Pretty silly to say "I love this film!", but it's a musical/horror/whatever so I can't upgrade it because it's to on my genre list to upgrade, sorry.
