i don't mind that they are milking it to promote final destination 5 which
arrives in theaters on august 26th, but c'mon warner, wouldn't the
timing be good to finally release parts 2 & 3 in the us!

Why not get the Canadian (Alliance) releases?? I bought my copies at FYE and both look great in HD. The only thing is that both are bare bones.

I own the Alliance FD2 and 3 and they're actually pretty good transfers.

Not wrong ratio for Final Destination 2. It is presented @ 1.78:1, much like the previous DVD releases were.

Bilingual covers doesn't matter. The idea that they are the wrong aspect ratio is somewhat flawed. The matte was opened up to fill the HDTV screen, so you are gaining picture on the top and bottom, and not losing any picture.

Plus, 2 and 3 look surprisingly good, I'll obviously upgrade later but I love these films too much and 7.99 at FYE was a good deal anyway.

I just hope that 5, 6 and any future ones are better than number 4. The key is to get at least decent acting and make sure the graphics and cgi looks good. 4 ignored both of those

I forgot to mention that too Anyways, they are great transfers nonetheless.

What's wrong with bilingual covers?? You can always print out custom covers for these titles.

Check your local FYE, if you have one.

looks like a nice set. the shrinkwrap is actually over the slipsleeve.
its hard to judge from the pic, but is the sleeve a plastic one
rather than cardboard?

the producers even said that it was renamed "Final Destination 4" shortly after it was released on its regular release... it would fit really well into collections if it said "Final Destination 4 3D" on it... especially since they did FD5... I still go with the idea that TFD was a spin off, which is why it wasn't called FD4, but at the last moment, after all prints of the film were sent, they thought "lets just call it a sequel, and say that we called it THE to signify it was the last" and everyone was like "YEAH!"

Did I miss the boat on this? I bought The Final Destination 3D when it came out and now that I got a 3D tv I tried to watch but it is the one that you had to use the paper 3D glasses not the 3D tv version. Is their any other options? There was one on Amazon for $80+ but It's from a 3rd party seller and I'm not sure if it's the same
Version I already own.

I got one for around $25 from Amazon CA a few months ago (after being burned by that bullshit disc that I had assumed was the 3D BD, bought disc-only from ebay), but I don't see an affordable one on there right now. Still haven't upgraded FD5, probably won't unless I happen across a deal.

The first release had the anaglyph 3D with the paper glasses. A couple of years later the real 3D Blu-ray was released, that's the one you should be looking for. If it says "Blu-ray 3D" on the cover, then it's the proper 3D version. Shouldn't be too expensive now I guess.
