This got a huge theatrical release, arguably one of the biggest for for a non-Ghibli anime film in the US in recent years. It was released in IMAX even. This is a major film from the acclaimed director of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children, and others. It also got rave reviews, with a 94% aggregate on RT.

Might just be a GKIDS thing to delay for a special edition? Weathering with You’s 4K didn’t come out until just this January.

That’s actually not true. Weathering With You had a 4K release two months after the initial standard Blu-ray release.

Fingers crossed they can put out a similarly cool collectors edition for Belle, hopefully with audio for all 3 languages!

Interested in seeing the artwook for this. I was not a fan at all of the movie's ending, but everything leading up to it was nice. The visuals and songs are EASILY the best aspects of the movie.

I enjoyed this movie quite a bit when I saw it in theaters! The artwork could always be a dealbreaker, of course, but I expect I will pick this up. I wish it was 4K though... Surprised there's no collector's edition with a soundtrack CD. Maybe those things will come later?

Tbh I don't love it. It's early concept art. The beast never actually captures Belle in the movie.

Its a clunky mock-up. None of the other steelbooks have included slips.
