I live in Canada and recently acquired a Region A+B+C Blu-ray copy of "The Piano" from Dendy Heart/Icon Home Entertainment of Australia. (UPC code 9-339065-002317)
This disc does not play on my PS3, my SONY Blu-ray (BDP-S1100) nor my newer SONY BDP-S6700 4K Upconvert player. The disc is in mint shape, no blemishes on the data side. Is the disc mislabelled as A+B+C or is the disc just defective? I understand A+B+C Blu-ray should play in any North American Blu-ray player and the whole PAL/NTSC factor is non-existent for the Blu-ray format. Anyone else have this title that might be able to suggest why it doesn't play? |
