Manchester draftsman Vic Brown (Alan Bates) becomes involved with secretary Ingrid Rothwell (June Ritchie), who works at his firm. After they sleep together, she gets pregnant. Alan Bates was an amazing actor, so I'll definitely have to check this out.

Gritty "kitchen sink" dramas, of which this film is a prime example, were largely swept away when "Swinging London" became all the rage in the mid 1960s. Happily, I already have the UK StudioCanal Blu-ray, though it is nice to see this finally getting a domestic release.

Wish it was Kino as the price would make it affordable as a blind buy.

Trailer looks like something that is up my alley- but SF's pricing means I'll be waiting a long time to take a chance on it.
