I just bought the trilogy on Prime Day, so I am good. I do like some steelbooks (and I'm sure this will be great), but I try to be selective. As much as everyone loves the Godfather, this is one I'm happy with the standard release (shelf saving space). The more I collect, the more I like the slimmer/multipacks, lol.

Last night I saw several scenes from the movie and I loved the UHD transfer. There is a great improvement in relation to the bluray of 2008. There are three aspects to highlight: First: The detail, there is a notorious increase in sharpness in the faces, clothes and everything that the image shows us. Second: the grain; the image is cleaner than the noisy BD, and presents a granular and filmic structure. Third: the colors, the golden patina of the bluray is appeased, and yet one feels that the photograph still retains the sepia and gold touch, so that more than revisionism it seems like a correction. At the same time, 4K technology gives us a greater richness of colors, especially in faces, where a much broader palette can be seen.

Neither of those problems are noticeable when playing the disc. I think it is more an impression of comparisons on internet sites. I repeat, the improvement (at least in The Godfather: Part II) is noticeable.

I was happy to grab these too, and without needing to buy the useless coda disc.
