Saw this in the theatre back in the day. A mixed bag for sure, only Rodriguez' segment was good. Anders' intro was the pits.

I love Tim Roth but he seems way miscast - he was better far doing comedy in Gridlock'd with Tupac.

I assume this is probably overseen by someone at the studio level, but with multiple directors, who would have technical oversight of the presentation of a new restoration? Would they each just oversee their own sections? I highly doubt they were involved but seeing the announcement it is more of a curiosity.

Such a strange time capsule of a very specific moment in movie history. Anders and Rockwell drop the ball immediately. Rodriguez knocks it out of the park and Tarantino simultaneously disappears up his own arse while criticizing celebs who disappear up their own arses. Plus we get Marissa Tomei roasting bowls. I’m in!

I remember reading the published screenplay before seeing it and loving the screenplay. I was more than a bit disappointed after seeing the final product, with so many things cut. I also detest Quentin.

Interesting choices we keep seeing getting a 4k release. Never heard of this.

13% from critics on RT?! I’ll have to check out the trailer.

Saw this in the theatre when it came out and loved it!

Sad that it’s Kino, but I’ll take it.

I wonder if the cut footage is still around and can be included on the disc in some way.

Outside of a historian commentary I'm not expecting much in the way of special features but as long as it's someone who does their homework I'll take it. Supposedly this had a pretty rough production that, as far as I know, has never really been publicly explored to any great extent. Regardless, I'm really excited this is finally getting a proper North American HD release. I always thought Rockwell's segment was underappreciated with a really fun David Proval performance. Even Anders's often maligned room is so quick and harmless... and has enough gratuitous nudity... that it's not unpleasant to sit through.

Freakin' SWEET. Was literally just rewatching the DVD several days ago, and was musing out loud that wouldn't it be cool if a label like Arrow or Kino put out a (long-overdue) 4K UHD of this one? Finally!

(And yeah, I've long wanted to see the extended deleted scenes from this one too. Hopefully we'll get something decent in the way of supplements for it.)
