Interesting tidbit from Curdle's wiki page:

Quote:
Connection to From Dusk Till Dawn

Curdled would appear to be set in the same universe as the vampire action film From Dusk Till Dawn. Kelly Preston reprises the character of newscaster Kelly Hogue, giving a news report about the "missing" Gecko brothers. Tarantino, who wrote and co-starred in From Dusk Till Dawn, executive produced this film and briefly appears as Richie Gecko in archive footage.
Speaking of, I have no idea why Paramount are holding back Dusk.

There was a penciled in release date from Paramount in 4K (standard and steelbook) around the same time as their release of Scream (1996).

It was then removed from the schedule.

Based upon time frames when Paramount signed deals with the boutiques, I don’t think it would be with any of them unless there’s renewal deals we’ve haven’t been made aware of.

I quite enjoy the film, it's fun at least, though haven't watched it since the DVD.

I don't remember liking this - to be fair it was almost 30 years ago - but I might have had it actually starred William Holden.

I guess Angela Jones like "fetch" just didn't "happen" despite QT's best efforts.

Tarantino also wrote a role for Angela Jones (the lead in Curdled) as a death-obsessed taxi driver who gives Butch a ride in Pulp Fiction after seeing and liking her in the short that Curdled is based on. Her part in Pulp Fiction was cut way down for the theatrical release, but you can see the extended version of the scene on the DVD and Bluray.

As to Curdled, I haven't seen it since the 90s. I remember it being fine. Nowhere near as bad as the reviews make it out to be. Its biggest problem is that it should have remained a short. It feels like they had a hard time stretching it out to feature-length. All the best parts of the movie (including the ending) are just lifted directly from the short.

I remember really digging this back in the old days (VHS rental) and will pick this up. The performance by the main actress really is quite charming and really helps the film.

This is a fairly stacked release, including a new commentary track with the Director, co-Writer, and lead actress Angela Jones. There's also a new interview with Jones as well.

This is beyond exciting! I remember renting this on VHS and falling in love with it! A strange and gory little dark comedy. Got mine ordered from Diabolik.
