William Friedkin's Sorcerer. Apparently it's caught up in a legal dispute at the moment. I would be overjoyed to see Criterion release a special edition eventually.

Hud with Paul Newman would be a close second choice.

How about Criterion getting off their asses and releasing the remaining Kurosawa films they own. I wish they'd do something like the BBS set or their recent David Lean/Noel Coward set and release a "Akira Kurosawa directs Toshiro Mifune" set which would include their remaining collaborations that weren't in the Eclipse sets. It would include some combination of the following:

Drunken Angel, Stray Dog, Rashomon, Throne of Blood, The Lower Depths, The Hidden Fortress, The Bad Sleep Well, Red Beard.

But as we know, this will never happen because Criterion has given a giant SOL and JWF to all Kurosawa fans and this doesn't appear to be changing anytime soon.

I've just been floored when I saw "Hellsing: Ultimate" listed under the new preorders listing.

Some others that would really make my day would be...

The Abyss
Berserk Complete Series
The Cowboy Bebop Complete Series
CSI Seasons 2 - 8
Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair
Koyaanisqatsi (a complete set with Powaqatsi and Naqoyqatsi would be awesome too)
Mission Impossible I and II with perfect quality
Neon Genesis Evangelion Complete Original Series
Noir Complete Series
Ong Bak with perfect quality
Over the Hedge
More Star Treks being remastered for HD
Star Wars: The Original Unaltered Trilogy
True Lies
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
More films by Akira Kurosawa, Alfred Hitchcock, Spielburg, and other good directors.

Absolutely

Also, anybody reckon ER: The Complete Series will come out anytime soon, if at all? That's another one I'd be floored with.

Star Wars Original Unaltered... yeah probably would wet my pants if I read that announcement tomorrow.

Follow that up with Buckaroo Banzai in the Eighth Dimension.

Then maybe Medicine Man with Sean Connery (horrible DVD transfer).

Since Criterion has released a multitude of Kurosawa movies on DVD, that last statement is absolutely bogus.

Furthermore, they release several titles every month, don't pretend they're being lazy by not releasing just what you want.
