Visually underwhelming at both the Dolby Cinema and PRIME theaters I saw it at. I actually saw it the second time in part to confirm it wasn’t a projection issue at the one theater. Nope, just one of those modern films that’s relentlessly dim.

I’m not one to make comments about “why X and not Y” when it comes to new 4K release announcements because I know it depends on a number of variables… but seriously? I did not see this coming, from any country.

I haven't watched it - everyone says its awful but who knows, I might like it?

Wouldn’t describe this as awful or horrible myself. It’s significantly better than dreck like Prey For the Devil for example, which also inexplicably got a 4K release. Like a lot of Blumhouse movies, it’s a passable enough way to spend a few hours if you have a high tolerance for low budget PG-13 horror. Certainly not worth the premium price of a 4K release however, especially since I don’t expect it to benefit much from the format after seeing it at PLF theaters.

Haha same. In my book, anything that CAN benefit from the format should be on it. At the same time films like Thanksgiving get a Blu only (in the US). I know different studios/distribution etc. still funny.

I saw this the other day for the first time and I actually enjoyed it! It's "paint by numbers" for sure but not as bad as some have said.
