Is the entire month of October dull for anyone else? Looking at the schedule and there's nothing I need to see.

My theatre is getting Good House this weekend, a week after everyone else. And Terrifier 2. Along with these 2 movies.

Meh.

I'm looking forward to Amsterdam and Prey for the Devil. Compared to September though there's not as many movies I want to see, though. There's barely any horror movies.

I think there's a good enough amount for me to see. I already feel behind because I still need to see Smile and The Good House. But instead of going to those my friend asked if I'd see Bros with her on Tuesday so I'm seeing that a second time.

Otherwise I want to see Piggy, Tár, Triangle of Sadness, Halloween Ends, Ticket To Paradise, Banshees of Inisherin, My Policeman (I'm not all that interested - it looks dull and I don't like the cast - but I'll still see it), Call Jane, Armageddon Time (though I won't see this until November), and maybe Prey For The Devil because my friend wants to see it. Personally I think it looks like another crappy exorcism movie.

At the end of the month I get to see Aftersun and She Said at the Twin Cities Film Fest.

Amsterdam looking like a bomb already. Haven't seen much talk of it even among cinephiles/film twitter circles. I still might go see it sometime though.

Thought for sure you’d be into Ticket to Paradise since it has Kaitlyn Dever and Billie Lourd.

Lyle - $10-15 million ($15-20 million if reviews somehow are good)
Amsterdam - Less than $5 million

Lyle will benefit from being the first family-friendly movie in theaters since...what, Minions 2?

League of Super-Pets is probably the last big one

Yes, it is true. There is 10 minutes of bonus content after though which is included in that

A Pasek+Paul musical has never made it to the top spot. And I don't see that changing any time soon.

Amsterdam is a destined flop, thanks to David O. Russell's antics, both past and present. Plus, no one in the cast is an established box office star.

Smile has the benefit of WOM, being a horror on October, and it's decent reviews. I say that's gonna take the spot.

I think Lyle takes the top spot. I'm predicting 23 Million but see anywhere from 21-31 this weekend. It's been a long time since we've had a kids movie.

Amsterdam I'm predicting 10 Million for.

Smile should hold well.

I've seen Amsterdam and Trick 'r Treat already. Will also be seeing Halloween Ends, Till, Black Adam, Prey For the Devil, and Devotion. Halloween 1978 is also playing and I may see that as well.

What constitutes an established box office star? The main reason I saw the film was because there were so many talented stars in it.
