It's pretty good, and it has one of the best scores John Williams ever did. Obviously, it is not even close to as well-known as the Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Superman, et al scores.

I came to this thread just to sing praises for Williams' score. It's a truly beautiful piece of work, and easily Top 15 Williams for me.

One of my absolute favorite films, not just of the 80's but of all time.
Sublime work from Hurt, Davis, Turner, Kasden, Williams and everyone in the supporting cast.

Wow, i've been waiting for this one for a while. Such subtle but powerful performances. Brimming with fiery emotion, but carefully kept in check just beneath the surface. This is the movie I fell in love w/Gina Davis. So happy I'm finally getting to upgrade this one.

I got mine in the mail today. I haven't had a chance to sit down and watch the whole disc yet, but I skimmed through it on the computer and grabbed a few screens. So far to my eyes the transfer looks pretty great.

Does this retain the static WB shield at the head or was it replaced with the current CGI one?

Some of the deleted scenes are unwatchable, VHS quality.

Just a warning for others who's eyes may be sensitive as mine.
