Not a fan of this steel, but excited to get this movie in 4K.

Steelbook is underwhelming but it's the movie on UHD that counts.

I still have never seen this movie, but I'll just wait for iTunes to upgrade my recently purchased copy to 4K. That steel is

About time! I'm not opposed to the steel artwork, though this would be a good title for Mondo to consider, with the Greg Ruth posters.

Not crazy about the artwork but perhaps it will look better in hand. A metallic sheen might improve it.

Seems to be missing a couple features of the BD, but don't know how significant they are. Not sure I ever looked at them.

Honestly, I love this movie so much, the cover could be the bags of urine and I would still buy it.

Isn't that what this artwork is conveying?

It's a nice surprise it's coming to 4K. It looks like there's maybe some room for the steelbook to come out looking nicer, but the standard UHD is still welcome.

Big fan of your avatar!

I think they could have just simplified the art and just used the DNA strand. Seems odd to go for more of a pop art approach instead of using some stills. Honestly the illustrated approach seems more something a boutique would do than a major studio.

I haven’t seen the film, is a starfield and skyline a part of it?

The older disc doesn’t seem to have a blooper reel?

Thanks!

I highly recommend this movie. I think it's as insightful a piece of writing from Andrew Niccol as The Truman Show. Michael Nyman's score is so great, one of my top favorite works from one of my favorite composers.
The skyline in this art definitely belongs.

I think the main issue for me with this art is the orange that I do not associate with this movie. I can't say offhand what I would have it shifted to, to still have Ethan Hawke's starry sky stand out.

I'm buying this, but if anyone at Sony is reading this, let's get better artwork please!!!, PM me and I'll do an alternate cover for free as this is in my top 10 films of all time and that Steelbook cover will be the least cool steelbook in my entire collection lol (mainly color scheme, to much orange, maybe it will look better in hand )

I'm not saying this is remarkably better, but I played around with color replacement and I found what looked best was either a much, much, more faded orange, or outright grayscale.

If it had this, and the sky and title lettering were more vibrant, I think that could look cool.

Only took a few minutes. Was a fun experiment. I probably should have made the gray even lighter than it is.

I like the change. Much better but still wouldn't buy it.

I don't mind the artwork it just feels incomplete without Uma on it. Glad this is coming to UHD finally!
