The best Blu Ray player and the best bargain: Sony PS3

The best stand alone players:
Panasonic DMP-BD30K Blu-ray Player ($450)
Denon DVD-2500BT Blu-ray Player (>$1000)

I personally say either a PS3 or the Panasonic BD30, but you'll ultimately have to decide what works best for you.

I say the Panasonic DMP-BD50 which will be coming out around April. I strongly suggest holding out for this one. Full Profile (2.0), ethernet connection for easy Firmware updates, Decodes and Bitstreams ALL audio codecs (something no other player can do atm)has sold me on it. The panny players are supposed to offer a minor increase in PQ compared to the PS3, and no fan noise either. That being said, I suggest either this player or the PS3.

btw the BD50 is supposed to retail just slightly above the BD30.

PS3! I only got the 20GB but it's kicking some major a**!
Seen one of the lower end Sony players over at a friends house, and it takes forever to load the movies.
