Redundant. We need a new transfer, and on 4K for the theatrical. I'd take it for the extended, but that's not gonna happen.

What's the 'complete cut' disc? Is it an amalgamation of theatrical with the additional footage from the Cannes and Argento versions. Just curious.

So is this worth picking up?? Or should I just grab a copy of that "Ultimate Edition" DVD set on Ebay?? I think it was from Anchor Bay, yes??

How was the video quality? All I have is the Australian blu and the old DVD box set. Wondering if this is worth it.

100+ bucks for that amateurish cut is pure daylight robbery, yes it's got a really nice cover, but wouldn't even pay 10 bucks for that turd, disrespectful to both Romero and Argento.

Yep they are patching older masters. I’m quite happy with my anchor bay blu ray until and offical new release comes along.

Sticking with my Arrow set. This German release is far too expensive to get the other cuts on blu-ray and the Italian remaster of the Argento cut is tainted with the replacement program issues.

Dawn is fan favorite, it will continue to get blu-ray releases worldwide but I agree that a remaster is needed.

Best versions I've kept for the moment are the Japanese theatrical and extended cuts (using htpc to fix rgb level) and replacement Italian for Argento cut. Also have the Arrow sealed from when first released simply for its rarity.

I had the same issue. if you type in DAWN OF THE DEAD and hit enter for ALL THE VERSIONS to appear....click to the 2nd page and the XT version is there from Austria.
