Hellbound: Hellraiser II Blu-ray

Hellbound: Hellraiser II Blu-ray Review

As someone pointed out in the Hills have Eyes thread Image Entertainment will release Hellbound : Hellraiser 2 on the same day. It seems that Anchor Bay made some kind of a distribution deal with Image, as long as it means that we will get their catalog horror titles faster I'm happy.

One of the scariest movies of all time IMO. This Halloween is gonna be sooooo awesome! So many great horrors coming out!

@Ite

You're right, so many awesome announcements already and the majors like Warner, Universal etc. even haven't announced their horror titles yet (except for the two Nightmare sequels), so there's more to come

If AB won't release their horror catalog, I'm glad Image will. Hopefully that means we'll be seeing Halloween 4-5, Re-Animator, etc.

Shame as these will no doubt be region locked.

What does this mean for the UK. Image don't release stuff in the UK so what will happen to Anchor Bay's UK catalogue.

I'd love to have The Hills Have Eyes and Hellraiser 2

I'm glad Anchor Bay is doing this, and working with a company that has been very reliable for years. Hopefully more announcements will come in the coming weeks.

I like Hellraiser 2 more than the original, so this is great news and I'll be able to sell off my old 2 pack dvd.

EDIT: I just saw they are releasing Dead Heat and Vamp as well, very cool.

@Tony

Yeah, that's the austrian/german release.
There will also be an japanese release in September, so enough versions of Hellraiser 2 for everyone. Let's hope that all of it's transfers will be awesome.

Nice! I love the Hellrasier series, even the later DTV ones. I'm still upset over the shabby treatment the later sequels have been getting from Echo Bridge and have been avoiding them. But I'm definitely in for Hellbound!

(Probably the last "classy" HR sequel with Clive's artsy involvement--
There's still traces of his story ideas in #3's script before New World Pictures went under and had to sell out the franchise, but...they didn't all make it into the version of #3 we got. )

Yet both he and you got the quote wrong. It's "And to think, I hesitated."

This is a must have for me and a day one buy. This is in my top 5 horror movie favorites of all time. Although I thought the 1st Hellraiser was the scarier of the two films, Hellraiser 2 was always my favorite and the most interesting of the Hellraisers.
