Default Thirteen Lives on BD - 'Late 2022'?

I thoroughly enjoyed Ron Howard's film Thirteen Lives about the real life Thai cave rescue in 2018. Although it is available on Prime Video, there are regional restrictions for viewing and so it is unavailable during our winter sojourn in India. I therefore want to get the Blu-ray.

The US release is scheduled to be in "late 2022" but no specific date mentioned. Does anyone know if and when this title will be out on BD?

Someone probably put it in the database here back when it was supposed to be a theatrical release.

It ended up being sent to streaming on Amazon worldwide, with only a token US theatrical release in a handful of theaters for a week.

Late 2022 is impossible, there are only 5 weeks left in the year, it would have been announced by now.

Honestly, I can't see it getting a disc here in the US at all, though I'd love to be wrong.

There's a better chance of a disc in some random country where Amazon/MGM doesn't control the film, if such a market exists.

Aww, that's disappointing but thanks anyway.

The only thing is that what looks like cover art for the BD on the US site acknowledges that it is a Prime Video release. That still gives me hope.

On the US Amazon site? I don't see a BD listing there, but the Amazon search engine is notoriously awful, where did you see it?

No, here on the Search facility of the forums. Mind you, it might just be a promotional picture.

Yeah that’s a poster for the film and not any indication of something for home video. For placeholder pages Blu-Ray forum users will throw up a movie’s poster until home video artwork is revealed.

BTW, if you really want a disc, best hope is to snag an FYC DVD on eBay.

I've done that for a few streaming-only films.
