call of duty 4 ps3

i had this game for xbox 360 and loved it. i sold my xbox and got a ps3, is the game worth it for ps3 or is the xbox version better?

I've never played it for x box,but i 've heard that the ps3 version looks better than the x box.Maybe someone who owns or played both versions can tell you.

Oh yeah, it looks better. My son has it on the 360 and it looks good, but on the PS3 it looks great!

The only issue you may find is if you want to do major co-op play. The 360 has alot more slots open than the PS3.

Well you may not like the PS3 version just based on the fact that I could possibly be put in a game against you either sniping you every time you come out in the open, or running up to you with my stun grenade popped, so when you kill me it goes off allowing my Martyrdom grenade get you....The latter being much more fun when it involves a group of enemies.....

I've played both versions...

Honestly... there isn't much of a difference. If the PS3 version does look better... it isn't by much.

The invite system on the PS3 seemed more user friendly.

but, whatever.. COD4 for PS3 or 360 is well worth the purchase.

i play it every day on the ps3. its amazing. i would say you cant compare it to uncharted. but the graphics are amazing. and online play is sooo fun.

Very good game and i think it is the best game for the ps3 so far. If you already have the XBOX version, i think it would be a waste of money to get it for the PS3 and you should go out and buy a new game for the PS3. I recommend Burnout: Paradise.

the graphics are better but there arent as many people online. occationaly i have trouble finding matches but other times i instantly find them. the online problem is almost irrelevent.

Uncharted's more detailed and has more difficult to render environments - more varied types of surfaces. CoD4 runs at 60fps with (4x multisample?) anti-aliasing without tearing.. but at 600p upscaled to 720p.

They're doing very different things graphically, it's difficult to directly compare them. Ratchet & Clank Future is more like CoD4 despite the very different art styles.
