The conversion is so good I'd rather watch it again in 3D than in 4K.

The 3D in this conversion is indeed exceptionally good.

Should be Disney for the international distribution.

3+ hours movie presumably on a BD-66 disc. The reviews will be interesting.

If Disney is not interested, can Paramount simply say "to heck with this, we'll release it in North America."

Or does there have to be joint agreement on the release?
Thanks!
Above all else is James Cameron's permission. After that, in the States, it is Paramount. Thank God it won't be Disney here. Disney will probably recycle whatever transfer Paramount mints here without DV and on a single BD-66 abroad however.

Maybe Titanic could be Disney's first 4K Blu-ray to be a BD-100. If it is on a BD-100 it will run better.

One could hope! Maybe Cameron could insist on it. A lot of it rests with him.

Hopefully the color-timing will be right this time. We're probly in for a revisionist mess tho.

If it looks teal and orange and has all of those digital alterations, then it could be on a BD-3000 disc and it wouldn’t matter.

Titanic's Remastered 4K is scheduled for a theatrical re-release on February 10th, 2023.

Native 4K: Confirmed; considering it was filmed on 35mm film.
HDR/Dolby Vision: Confirmed; they already did that grading in 2017.
3D: Confirmed.
Dolby Atmos: Unconfirmed.
High-Frame-Rate (HFR): Unsure; sources say that kind of transfer was carried out but, why? Titanic already looks good at 24fps honestly, I don't know why they would change it.

got my ticket ready for February, going to watch it in IMAX 3D HFR
can't wait, as i was 9 when this came out.

Apparently the highest-grossing single day was Valentine's Day 1998,
that explains the late anniversary...
