I loved all of Pixar's offerings this year, even if the general audiences didn't (though I maintain that Lightyear's failure and controversy was unwarranted).

Death on the Nile was great, as were Bros and the Bob's Burgers Movie, I thought. Others, like the Northman, I've still yet to check out, but I've heard good things from all my friends who went to go see it.

Lightyear is an AWESOME movie and I will NEVER forget the thrill of watching the multiple aspect ratio version in a real IMAX theater.

Fantastic Beasts 3. Big improvement over the second movie, but paid the price for it.

Ambulance was great, also really enjoyed Lightyear & Morbius.

My favorite bomb of 2022 has to be Avatar. The internet told me it was a movie nobody wanted, with no chance of being a hit like the original, and the internet wouldn't lie to me, right?

framing something has a “bomb” is disingenuous, as if there was only one reason ever a movie could be deemed successful or its immediate impact is the only thing of relevance. as if other variables never come into play.

The Northman was a fantastic film, among my favorites from the year.

The Fablemans I liked, but not as much as some critics.

Strange World was a good Disney animated film. Not a classic from the studio, but might be the one I've enjoyed the most since Moana.

Amsterdam I enjoyed. A bit uneven, but overall I liked it.

Unbearable Weight, Ambulance, and Black Adam. BA did go down some for me on a rewatch however.

Crimes of the Future and The Northman neither did well commercially, but I loved them.

Those two and the Bowie doc., Moonage Daydream, have been the films I've liked most, this year.

I still need to see EO, Tar, and Decision to Leave.
