Max (Dirk Bogarde) is a night porter in a Vienna hotel in the 1950's. When beautiful Lucia (Charlotte Rampling) checks in, they recognise each other from a terrible past; Max was an SS officer in a Nazi concentration camp who had abused and tortured the then teenage Lucia, a prisoner. Lucia is traveling with her husband, an orchestra conductor and when he leaves to continue his tour, Lucia stays behind as she and Max find themselves compelled to renew their former, intense, sadomasochistic relationship.

Max is a reluctant member of a group of former SS who are ruthlessly covering up their pasts. They soon consider Lucia a threat and urge Max to hand her over. He refuses and hides out with Lucia, while his former comrades enact their threats.

He’s pure evil… pure power… pure terror! RawHead Rex is a demon, alive for millennia, trapped in the depths of hell, and waiting for release. He is held by an ancient seal, imprisoned for centuries in a barren field near the hamlet of Rathmore, Ireland. In time, this gruesome legacy has been forgotten, dismissed as an odd pre-Christian myth until Tom Garron (Donal McCann) decides to plow the field his ancestors knew better than to disturb. The seal is broken and an unspeakable evil is unleashed - on a rampage of blood and lust. Howard Hallenbeck (David Dukes), an American historian on a working vacation with his family, discovers on the stained glass windows of a local church a series of scenes illustrating the reign of terror of RawHead Rex, but the one piece of glass depicting the defeat of the monster is missing. RawHead Rex is on the loose, and he is insatiable as Howard is desperately races against time for a way to stop the vicious monster. Directed by George Pavlou (Transmutations) with a screenplay by horror legend Clive Barker (Hellraiser, Candyman, Nightbreed, Lord of Illusions).

now you had to wait for him for almost 3 years. Finally the time has come! This Halloween we're finally releasing the beast, and Clive Barker's RAWHEAD REX will be released as a German HD premiere as well as a European UHD premiere with tons of bonus material, the original soundtrack CD and an extremely generous cover selection from us this time as number 70 in our Collector's Series !

We're releasing the 3-disc set on October 27th to coincide with Halloween in six cover variants because we just couldn't decide. The media books are kept matt and finished with spot varnish.

However, we have a very special, albeit unusual, surprise for you. Almost 11 years ago, our dear friends at cmv-laservision released RAWHEAD REX as Trash Collection No. 86 in a small hard box.
Since we ourselves grew up with CMV products and are huge fans of the Berlin label, we have teamed up and present you a seventh artwork in the typical CMV media book style, as a 2-disc set with Blu-ray and soundtrack CD,
limited to 111 pieces. So if you have absolutely no desire for a UHD version and would rather see the film on the CMV shelf, you have a unique chance to grab it here.
