Exclamation Run your Region "A" & "B" Discs on a standalone Blu-ray Player

Hi,

I donīt know if this has been discussed, but I thought I should throw this in here If you donīt know...

You can easily run your Region "A" & "B" Discs on a standalone Blu-ray Player.
(At least I got the confirmation for the Samsung BDP1000)

You just have to change your Firmware all the time. (US<>EU)

Iīm curious if this works with all Blu-ray players...

Does anybody know / tried it ?

I donīt know if I would count this as a mistake, but itīs nice.

Now you can watch your Region A&B Blu-rayīs until someone figures out how to unlock the regioncode.

I guess the most people here have Region "A" Discīs...
and for those few Europe discs...
Well,... you can handle it.

At least you have the chance to do it...
Better than not watching them.

I would buy a foreign / (codefree) Blu-ray Player, but they are to expensive right now.

Iīm still hoping that someone figures out how to unlock the region code on the PS3...
(That would be the optimal solution)

Too bad no new firmware's been released for my SAMSUNG 1200, either, considering it was due on 2 Feb 08. At LEAST you can watch Region A movies that have been released to date on your PS3. It's great I have the option of watching Region B... but it's not the reason I bought my boat anchor/door stop of a player.

Well yeah perhaps if you have 50% Region A discs and 50% Region B discs, it would be a hassle.

However if you have like only a few Region B discs it seems like this is still a good way to play them rather then just blankly stare at them while not being able to play them at all, had you a player that only plays Region A.
