Leonardo DiCaprio, Appian Way Board ‘We Are Guardians’ As EPs; Urgent Doc From Fisher Stevens’ Highly Flammable Tackles Threat To Amazon Rainforest

Fisher Stevens’ Highly Flammable production company today announced Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way Productions have joined the documentary We Are Guardians as executive producers.

The film, about Indigenous protectors of the imperiled Amazon rainforest in Brazil, premiered at Hot Docs in Toronto last week. Stevens, the Oscar-winning producer of The Cove, recently launched Highly Flammable, and We Are Guardians marks the first documentary under the new banner. Stevens has previously collaborated with DiCaprio and Appian Way on several documentaries, including And We Go Green and Sea of Shadows.
