Default Super Mario Bros 1993

With the new Mario bros movie coming it might be a good time to finally release this on Blu-ray.

I'd love to see a US release of this movie.

I took my little brother to see it opening day. Neither of us liked it, although it amused me to see John Leguizamo as an Italian.

I saw all the commercials on tv but couldn’t see it in the theater. Then I saw it on PPV and have been in love with it ever since. No shame. Not a guilty pleasure. Legit love it.

It’s not a perfect movie by any means but to me it’s a lot of fun and I fell in love with Samantha Mathis (along with watching The Thing Called Love at such a young age haha).

I saw this theatrically as a kid. I enjoyed it, and rented it a few times later on. Bought the non-anamorphic dvd and recently upgraded to the Umbrella bluray. I always rationalized that the movie was channeling the bleakness of the original Mario Bros arcade game and I just ran with all the oddities figuring the eventual sequel would have the brighter Mushroom Kingdom we all loved. Bob Hoskins killed it as Mario pre-Charles Martinet, Samantha Mathis was ethereal, John Leguizamo was fun, and the rest of the cast were fine too.

I think Disney has it. You all are better off buying the Aussie import BD it's region free. I got the Region B steelbook and the Aussie region free BD and the CD soundtrack (Extreme's Where You Going? and Divinyls Love Is The Drug my favorite songs original to soundtrack off it). If you ever find the CD soundtrack cheap out in the wild it's worth picking up lots of good songs on it.

Here is a little taste:
