First of all I love this show....! I miss it and I can't wait for the movie.
Are the DVD's from Amazon in Plastic Case Packaging or Box Packaging?
I would rather have the box packaging for each season.

Well I bought mine not all that long ago and it was box, you might want to check and verify that though, cause it could have easily changed. You should probably check with the below for answers.....

The episodes on Netflix Instant streaming in HD look amazing and way better then the DVDs, at least when i stream then to the PS3. So hopefully BD releases get announced sooner rather than later and hopefully in 5.1 because the DVDs arn't.

Even though it's a dialogue heavy show, it would still benefit from 5.1 in some cases

Today only in the Amazon.com Gold Box, they have the complete set (all three seasons) on DVD for $27.99!!!!!

about forty bucks less than it was yesterday, and 60 bucks less than the suggested retail price.

I bought these last night! AWESOME!

I love this show, I've been watching on Netflix streaming to my PS3. I would LOVE a Blu-ray release.

Read great things about Twin Peaks though David Lynch isn't exactly my type. Was unimpressed with Mulholland Dr. and I could only sit through half an hour of Eraserhead... it freaked the shit out of me.

Both those movies are pure Lynch.

Twin Peaks was co-created and co-written by Mark Frost, so it's not as "out there" as it were. Personally, this makes me appreciate the times Lynch takes over even more.
