IN THE LINE OF DUTY IV (Eureka Classics)

In the Line of Duty 4 Blu-ray

Eureka

Release date 20th March, 2023

Quote:
Action superstar Donnie Yen and Cynthia Khan team up with legendary martial-arts director Yuen Woo-ping in this fan-favourite fourth entry in the In the Line of Duty film series.

Yen and Khan play a pair of no-nonsense cops on the case of a major drug trafficking operation. When an immigrant dock worker is targeted by the criminals, the officers must protect this innocent man from an international crime syndicate.

Yes Madam was filmed in 1985. Royal Warriors was filmed in 1986. Apparently they were released in some parts of the World in reverse order which is why Royal Warriors is listed as ITLOD 1.

It won't be, there are two separate listings for these (that much is clear now). Looks like they're the only March titles too, so nothing for me this month...

Part III imo is terrific. Japanese villains add really much into which would be otherwise quite standard HK actioner. There is rage and drama in final fight.

ITLOD3 is a decent enough movie. The opening 20 minutes showcases Cynthia's moves and then ramps up the body count like in Armour of God (without Alam Tam singing over the piece), like no tomorrow.

If you like Cynthia Khan then there's plenty to enjoy here, and Michiko Nishiwaki features far more in this movie than her bit parts in My Lucky Stars and God of Gamblers. Eric Tsang and Richard Ng make cameos as do some others.

High on body count, plenty of blood, some gruesome elements and nudity too - oh and lots of kicks!

No, you're right. HKL enjoyed buggering about with titles.

Here's their trailer (which gets one of the leads' names wrong too!)

Whatever happened to Yuen Yat-chor? This is his last credit on HKMDB.

One of my absolute favourite modern day Hong Kong action films, so I'm really looking forward to this!

Nice to see that the export version will be included, even though it doesn't add much to the film. It adds a short scene right before the opening credits.

I think it would be nice if this could be included as an extra in higher quality:

https://youtu.be/PlIPmXyHp1Y?t=3m46s

It's behind the scenes footage from the recording of the English dubs for this film, "The Killer" and "Aces Go Places V", with Simon Broad, Pierre Tremblay and Scott Smith.
It also features an interview with the dubbing director, Annie Mathers.
There is also a section about Cantonese TV dubbing.
